You have to remember that to accept the bible as true, you are required to turn off the logic portion of your brain. At least as it pertains to anything that deals with the bible or god.

In the case of the of the christian, he can't think in terms of logic, because that part of his brain has atrophied from lack of use.

Pascal didn't add any new logic to the world, he simply claimed credit for that logic that you and I use everyday.

We usually say it in terms of: What are the pros and cons of doing a certain thing? What is the worse thing that can happen. What will happen if I do not take the risk. What is the most I can gain from doing it. and of course, What are the odds? -- Every Business adventure and Every Poker hand involves the so called "Pascals Wager".

I am a self read Christian. Church Christians have a lot of enthusiasm so sometimes their replies reflect more enthusiasm than empirical data.

Maybe because not every one knows who Pascal is? I didn't know until I did a search. I never heard of the guy before. I am just being honest. I don't know every thing but I certainly am learning more when I come out here.

I am not a debater and I don't like debating my faith with people because I don't feel I have to debate it. I just have to live it. I don't like to argue and fight with people because it's not who I am.

I also don't feel that gambling is the way to go thus I probably wouldn't agree any way on making any wage of whether or not God exists or not as it's put.

I just believe because I was willing to take a chance in God and also asked God to show me that he is real. He has shown me his love and his grace in many ways. I am not a Calvinist either. God Bless.

I guess this would be your view point? I would like to think that one day you may have a change of heart?

Belief in God is not about Fire Insurance from Hell as Pascal assumed. He made the same mistake you are making with your question here. He presumed to understand something that he had no personally experiential point of reference for. My guess for Christians not answering your explanation of the refutations of his wager, is that your explanations impressed them about as much as his wager did.

Maybe they don't read your refutations.

Pascal lived at the dawning of the age of reason, when empirical proof became god. Philosophers like Decartes and Pascal were believers who thought that God could be explained by rational thought alone. Pascal's wager was thought to appeal to agnostics, but God is a spirit and they which worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. If you do away with spiritual thinking because you can't measure it with a ruler then you can't explain God. God says that he will make the wisdom of man foolishness. Without faith it is impossible to please God.

lemme guess, that if we submitt to the Pascalian wager, "we wont know what God to follow??"

Truth by defintion is exclusive.

And the wager in my opinion still stands, he was making an existential argument.

I can't speak for everyone, but this Christian isn't interested in your thoughts on Pascal's Wager.
