My wife was diagnosed with H-Pylori a couple of months ago, after have stomach pain which she described as "Gas Pain" over the last year. She finished her entire first round of 3 dose antibiotics and is on a 2nd round prescription after the doctor said the first one doesn't always work. The pain seems to be worse than before. Now I have been having similar symptoms, but haven't been to get tested. Is this really H-pylori and if so is H-pylori contagious?

H pylori is not contagious but it is an infection. Yes, it's treated with antibiotics.

However, antibiotics aren't without risk. You may well have developed a systemic candida infection as a result of these antibiotics. Find a probiotic (any natural foods store). GO to your local library and find and read anything and everything that they have on candida (yeast) by Dr William G Crook, MD and/or Dr Zoltan Rona, MD.

That doesn't mean that the antibiotics were a mistake Ianthe first place. It simply means that taking antibiotics without also taking probiotics (they don't interfere) is an open invitation for all of those candida organisms (that you must have in your bowel for proper digestion) to go wild and to party in your body.

You should google H. Pylori and you will find tons of info, also a site that was informative was www.righthealth.com. When I first heard of the H. Pylori infection I was in nursing school and my husband had been diagnosed with peptic ulcers, we went back to the Dr. and they checked him for H. Pylori and he did indeed have it, after one round of Amoxicillin and Pepto-bismal he felt much better. Our Dr. said this "cocktail" was the most effective way of treating it. All I know is it worked for him. Good Luck!
