The whole idea of a bunch of whackos dressed in camoflage running around the desert with guns scares the dickens out of me. Do a little research on this bunch and you will see what they are all about. Just because they use the term "Minutemen" doesn't mean they are running around in cute little uniforms with powdered wigs doing the patriotic thing. They are a rag-tag bunch of gun nuts and red-necks.

One of my brothers is retired from the Pima County (Arizona) Sheriffs dept and he says these people are posing a danger not only to unarmed Mexicans trying to run the border but also to law enforcement and border patrol because they are too quick to fire off their little guns.....Plus, they don't clean up after themselves out there............HA! I thought that was a funny observation from him.

Sooner or later, one of those nuts will shoot somebody important. Then they will be sent back to whatever zoo they came from.

No hit, but an increase economically due to the money spent by the Minutemen and their supporters.

The Minutemen are better for the people of Arizona then the illegal aliens. Of course Corporate Farms of Arizona prefer the overworked underpaid illegal aliens.

I've yet to find anyone supportive of illegal aliens that do not financially benefit from them.

I think it's important that citizens of all the border states closely review their section of the US/Mexico border, and communicate their views to their state representatives accordingly. The Minutemen are shrouded in controversy, as there are conflicting views regarding their initiative to promote public awareness of the border issue as a whole.

At issue are concepts like the very Union itself, the United States as a country, whether it would be possible for pro-Mexico supporters to work some of the old political magic to try and lure their targeted state over toward Mexico, effectively causing that state to align itself economically and politically with Mexico, rather than the United States. Call it subversion, call it corruption, call it a taco cheese pizza, call it what you want, it merits closer examination and a critical eye directed toward any other little machinations that might be in play vis a vis the US economy, and Mexico's interest in tapping into it....Texas has already basically been bought over, time will tell what happens in AZ, NM, CA, and so forth...lots of money at stake...what will people choose, the law, or the money....thus is the nature of corruption...

None!
Number 1. It will cut back on crime.
Number 2. It will cut back on medical welfare.
Number 3. It might even have the government work harder to get the people on welfare to take those now vacant jobs.
Seems like it will have a positive empact on the economy. God Bless those Minutemen who are protecting America!

Are you kidding? This is the best news Arizona's had in 10 years. However, it hasn't been proven that it's the Minutemen doing any of it. Whoever it is... more power to them.

The Minutemen just might be what this country needs. And Barb, you must be one goofy whacked out liberal that just hasnt felt the squeeze from the filth coming across the border. Where do you live, some gated, fenced in housing tract with security guards? Because you live in your ivory tower you think you know what goes on in the real world. You dont have a clue, sweetie. And that stupid brother of yours that's supposedly a Pima County Sheriff doesnt have a clue what the Minutemen do or he wouldnt open his cake hole about them. The Border Patrol appreciate what the Minutemen do and in my book, they have a lot more clout than your Barney Fife brother. Ive deployed to the border with the Minutemen for a total of 90 days. Ive worked with the Border Patrol. Ive aided in the apprehension of drug smugglers and nobody got shot. Nobody even got their shoes dirty. They have thanked us for taking the time out of our busy lives to come assist them on patrols, some even to the point of tears. So, little miss Barb, unless youre willing to climb down from your ivory tower and stand a post and see what the backbone of this nation is made of, i suggest you shut your pie hole and let us do our job.

Nothing at all. However, the cost to the state and to the country is irrelevant given the fact that this country is under seige from Mexico and all of Latin America. This a sovereign country with borders and the constitution demands that the citizens be protected from invasion anywhere at its borders. The president's first responsibility is to protect citizens from invasion by foreign nations without regard to whatever passions a president may have for millions of poor and uneducated people illegally crossing the border to make more money for their families and to send most of that money back to their native country.
Arizona will benefit greatly as they are already with the MM fence and other commonsense securities. The cost of health care will plummet, the costs and congestions of public schools will return to normal, the entry level jobs that used to be available to teen citizens and the poor will become available and the cost of housing and prosecuting alien criminals will drop considerably. Tax dollars will once again go for the benefit of citizens and social programs now inundated by illegal aliens will once again serve citizens first.
The state will benefit further - and most importantly - from a rebith of the American culture now being watered down due to the low academic accomplishments of illegals and the political correctness that actually allows our country to be lowered to the standards of a third world country.
God bless the Minute Men and their courage to do for the country what our own president will not do, though he is mandated to do so.

About .000000000001% of the amount of hit the state is taking over paying for social services and education for illegal aliens from Mexico.
