Benchmade 943 too many bad experiences with kershaw knives, it may look sweet but it is not worth the money.

kershaw for sure. they have asisted opening and they are made in the usa. i like the half serrated ones personally. but id go with the kershaw and look in the the lifetime warnaty for that particular model

Smooth blades are quicker to sharpen but it's whatever you like. I don't think you'd be dissappointed with the Benchmade.

I would say Benchmade is the better brand out of the two. I love and own several of their balisongs(butterfly knives).
