how can i get the Microsoft Word program to reappear from the "hidden" mode?

i click on the Word icon, the opening screen opens and then, instantly becomes hidden. what do i do next?

If you can open a new Word document, you can click Help, then click "Detect and Repair." Have your install CD ready.

If Word will not load for you to do this, right-click on the desktop and slide to "new" - there should be a right arrow with a menu. See if you can click on Word to open a Word document from there. Then click Help and try to "Detect and Repair."

If you can't do this, better run a full virus scan in Safe Mode. If your icons appear out of order when finished, just drag them back to where you want them.

UNhide it:

1. RIGHT click START > left click EXPLORE
2. Scroll down to
Documents and Settings > then Administrator
3. double click Application Data > click Microsoft
4. RIGHT click WORD > left click Properties
5. tab General > frame Attributes
6. UNcheck HIDDEN
7. click APPLY
8. ok
9. Restart your computer
