Maybe you shouldn't be an asshole and park in legal zones from now on. It's not like you didn't know that it was an illegal zone

Motorists are not so much an "easy target" but the offences are more easily "found committing". I'm afraid you're wrong in relation to the shoplifters... newly-caught shoplifters actually get a similar on the spot fine of £80, which is more than any parking ticket offence (currently £30 non-endorsable, or £60 and 3 points). As with both offences, if the offender is reported and it goes to court, the penalties are substantially higher. Personally, I love dealing with traffic offenders, but the majority of non-road policing officers hate traffic law.

The law is the law. If an Officer sees a crime being committed he is going to react. Parking where you shouldn't, ie: zig-zag lines on a pedestrian crossing is pretty hard to miss. Don't be a lazy so-and-so and park where you shouldn't. The Officer who gave you the ticket would probably much rather be doing something more constructive with his time but if you make it easy for him by doing something so blatant then he is going to report you for it. Remember a detection is a detection in Blair's statistical Britain. The Officer was most likely on high-viz patrol which means he was looking for any wrongdoings and also there to sure up the public with his presence. I am sure you would complain about the lack of a Police presence if you saw a crime being committed with no Officers around to deal with it.

The police are drawn to regulation breakers whether delicate or uncomplicated aims. If a individual chooses to break the regulation they could face the outcomes without whinging. maximum motorist ruin the regulation each time they rigidity and extremely infrequently get caught. If somebody thinks they have been annoying accomplished by using because of the fact they have been prosecuted for a motoring offence, they could bypass to a well-being middle and notice the end results of a few those offences. particularly some the biggest criminals are at the back of the controls of motor vechicles.

If you have paid out £2000 so far and still haven't learnt your lesson then there is no hope for you at all.
The police chase the motorist because by and large they are law abiding people who "pay up" without having to be chased through the courts. People who can afford to drive can usually afford to pay the fines. It's as simple as that.
If your bank account is dwindling away too fast then I suggest you try and park legally, otherwise they'll keep catching you. Take up shoplifting instead!

It's not the Police on their own, it's Government policy that dictates to the Police what the Government want them to do.
Because you drive a car you are deemed to have some money which the Government and local councils are desperately short of. So it boils down to these facts:- 1. You're an easy target as the authorities will always be able to detect you because your car has a registration number which comes straight back to you. 2. You have a bit of money (because you can afford to drive). 3. The Government & Councils are short of dosh so who better and easier to get it from than you the motorist.

Your offenses are more serious than the shoplifter's. The thief just takes some petty item. You violate traffic laws which could result in a traffic accident and end up killing and injuring people.

Well I'm happy that some local police/traffic wardens are doing their job. I wish that ours were more assertive, especially with the disabled ticket holders who think that they can park anywhere and other drivers who think that the pavement is the car park.

It's becuse us motorists are an 'easy touch'. We get stopped, we get fined, they get the money. It's called 'highway robbery' in plain English. We used to put up with it, but not any more. There's a petition at the Number Ten website where you can say NO to road pricing. Already about 1.2 million of us have signed the online petition. It's a start. Us motorists are fighting back.
