I have straight hair and I've been trying to do the scrunched "wet" look lately, and I used mousse but when I scrunch it it just comes back straight!! And then for a couple hours it doesn't look wet anymore. Is it that I can only do this with curly hair? Can anyone give me step by step instructions on doing that with straight hair?

I have super straight hair too! I could never get the "wet" look! I tried almost everything. Until one day I figured out the right combination and exactly what to do! This will work!

The wet look is easy! Go to Target or Wal-mart some place like that and buy the Hard Curl gel and the Wet Look spray from Garnier Fructis. As soon as you get out of the shower towel dry you hair for 2min. Moose your hair with any moose I use Garnier Fructis extreme hold. Then add the hard Curl gel all over and I guess "toss" your hair. You can also use regular hair gel for more of a hold. Towel dry your hair for about 5min. Spray the Wet Look spray (this is like a gel) so you can spray it on your hands and rub it through you hair. Next put you hair up in the towel for 20-30min. Put your hair down and spray it with hair spray. Your hair will still be wet. You can either go out with it wet or blow dry you hair on low heat.

Get some pantene scrunching mousse.. it works really good!.. anyways get your hair wet but not like soaking wet.. and then put alot of mousse in the palm of your hand and just scrunch it right into the mousse.. and dont let go.. then take a blow dryer and blow dry it while your hand is still scrunching it.. it will dry it the shape your hand has it in.

Shampoo,do not condition. Towel dry your hair, then apply tressume mousse. Scrunch with your hand. You can also use a diffuser. Ask your stylist to explain how to use it. Its easy but better if shown, all you do is turn your hair over and bounce the diffuser up and down your hair.

Sometimes gels can leave your hair dry and flaky. You should try a leave in conditioner in a cream or texture form that helps lock in moisture but doesn't make your hair wet just look wet, Cantu Shea butter works very well. It also helps to not brush your hair if your just going to just wear it out that makes your hair frizz so use a wide tooth comb. Hope this helps.

with straight hair u should use curl activating shampoo and conditioner. this will give u some waves or curls to work with. after blot ur hair witha towel till damp, not soaking wet. then put in some frizz ease serum if ur hair gets kind of frizzy as it dries. then use curl activating gell. squeeze really hard taking ur ends and and scrunching them up to ur roots. let it air dry. this will give u the wet look.

What you do, is when you come out of the shower, wrap your hair in a towel, & keep it like that for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes has passed, it should be slightly wavy. Put gel in hands. Then, put your hand on the bottom of your hair. It will look like your hair is standing on your palm. Then, grab your hair while pushing up. Repeat around your head.

Hard to explain, but hope you get it ! [=
