I got the Japanese Perm about a month ago, but I have been taking Biotin to help my hair grow faster and it has grown over an inch since my hair was treated. Anyway, I was wondering whether or not it is a good idea to relax my roots? I usually leave it in for 3-5 minutes so that my hair is easier to comb (I have weird hair). Would it make my hair fall out?

Unfortunately, when you chemically change the structure of your hair(as with a Japanese perm) it is recommended that you wait at least 8-12 weeks before you do any other type of (different) perm. In between that time, you should deep condition your hair at least once a week, with a ph balancing conditioner. Last but not least, never perm your own hair!!! It is a time sensitive procedure that should be done by a professional only! I cannot stress this enough. It is better to invest on a perm done by a professional, than to spend more on hair fix-ups. Good luck!

The more processing the greater the chance your hair will break off.
