My friend ate a live chicken and the bird was squaking and moving about until he ate all of it.

People like him are called crazy, The Bible says that you should not eat anything with blood, that's a sin. so it is.

Yes, it is a sin. It is against the one of the 7 laws of Noah. Those are the laws that the rest of the world, other than the Jews, who have 613 laws, need to follow in order to be considered righteous. And cruelty to animals is a sin.
Look up Noachide Laws.

Yeah, I doubt this happened. The chicken would've died at some point. Your friend should be more worried about E. Coli than any old sin.

It is a sin, very clearly outlined in the Torah. It would be inhumane to the animal, which is also against Torah, and it would be treif.

Actually I think it is.

The passage I was thinking of was Genesis 9:4

4 "But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it."

There may be other interpretations of this verse.

Why would ANYONE eat a live animal. That is just cruel and disgusting.

No. But I don't think it would help your health.

Neither does being a watched to see when you would make it on the darwin awards. (The awards that are given to people for dying in really stupid ways)

yes . we are told to eat no animal while their lifes blood is still in it. also there is a high likelihood of health ramifications from doing so.
