My daughter can not stand them, besides tasting nasty, they make her mouth feel funny. But she does love banana muffins / bread

When I was younger my mom used to pack my lunch with homemade Chinese food. Kids who didn't know anything besides hamburgers and pb&j sandwiches would say, "EWW!! That looks gross!!" Well, at least my mom took the time to pack my lunch, unlike their mom who stuffed a twinkie in their backpack on the way to school. It was extremely rude for that person to say that to you. Food preference is subjective and just because someone doesn't like it doesn't mean it's disgusting. You should tell that person that their face is disgusting. By the way, I love banana muffins. =)

Wow! Until I saw your post I thought *I* was the only one! I think my mother over-fed them to me as a baby. My husband & my son eat them, and if they peel one near me the smell of it just about makes me want to barf. The FUNNY thing is that I like banana bread. I always make it once our bananas go black. Except I always have my husband peel and mash them for me so I don't have to smell them. I hold my breath when I mix them into the batter. I don't like banana cake though. I think it is the texture. The bread seems to mask the flavor a little better.

You could just be that unique person . When I eat a banana I get repeats that tastes like beer I worry what would happen at the Breathalyzer.

It depends on what kind of banana you are talking about girl! Really, I think it's not disgusting 'coz it's rich in potassium. A healthy and delicious fruit to eat.

Good. That leaves more for us who love bananas. You might have had a traumatic experience when a child and your mother served some baby-food bananas. Yes, that's gross.

well I don't think they are disgusting they are over rated in my opinion... I like bananas once in a while and they have to be slightly greenish and firm if they have those brown spots and they are mushy I can eat it.

I don't like bananas in their "cold" form, i.e just eating them straight up. But somehow, deep frying them and serving them hot with ice cream... I can't explain it, but it's bloody addicting.

I agree with you, but then again, it does taste good in banana nut bread and it also is healthy (it has potassium).

Nah, I think bananas are pretty nasty....but I eat them when I feel really shakey.
