I bet if they did the autopsy, they aren't going to say, "Oh, we realized she could have been treated with therapy for this brain damage...too late now." No, of course they are going to say it was irreparable .
And by the way, her "husband" which had kids with another woman immediately after her brain damage, was once quoted to say "Why won't this ***** die." Wow, what a loving man. Well, at least he got the 1 million dollar trust that he wanted.

Oy... so it's all a big conspiracy, eh?
I followed that story obsessively for months. I also have no doubt... no doubt that Terri wouldn't have wanted to "live" like that and that she was in fact DEAD for nearly a decade and half while only her body remained biologically alive.
Court after court after court deemed valid the testimony of those who had heard her say that she didn't want to be kept on life support, that she would rather die than be kept physically alive when there was no way for her to recover.
And her husband? He was ENCOURAGED to move on and find love again by Terri's PARENTS, you dolt. They told him to get on with his life, to accept that Terri was never coming back... that is, until he finally accepted it and decided to carry out her final wishes. That's when they went bonkers with their litigation.
She wasn't killed because she was inconvenient. Her body was allowed to expire because her brain was practically soup inside of her skull. There was no chance, ZERO CHANCE, that she would ever regrow her brain. Recognizing this, her husband RESPECTED her wishes and attempted to disconnect her. The real villains in this story are her parents, the ones who turned what would have been a quiet goodbye into a media circus.
Just let it go, ok? You don't know what you're talking about, kid.

besides the undeniable fact that this can be a mind-blowing tale of fulfillment and that i desire him and his kinfolk properly and desire this treatment works for others, i trust the want to discuss that he grow to be in a "minimally wakeful state." He grow to be no longer a vegetable like Teri Schiavo. They tried this on people in vegetative states without consequences. in reality it says this in the object. besides the undeniable fact that I appreciate your opinion to boot as each and each and every individual else's perspectives on Teri Schiavo and this tale, you want to do your homework in the previous troublesome liberals in the type of count number. i actually grow to be no longer particular the position I stood on the Teri Schiavo issue yet I do now that she and this very fortunate guy had very diverse circumstances.

I am presently reading the book...not concurrently with this but you get the idea...and I am amazed at what all went on. I am hardly into the book and am just floored! I have read on the Terri Schiavo Foundation website and yes, I think there are some problems with the autopsy report, especially since it was closed to others. Still amazed!

The people of the state of Florida and their legislators made a conscious decision to avoid paying for the extended care of seriously ill or disabled people.
The rationale for that was the huge number of elderly, who retire to Florida, and who eventually die there, and the huge cost of providing extended medical care and support for them.
Terry Schiavo simply picked the wrong state to be in, when she suffered her mishap. Her taste in husbands wasn't too good, either.
To be safe, stay out of Florida.

So, I understand that when YOU have a relative COMATOSE, on life support, and in a TERMINALLY vegetative state you want government telling your family what they HAVE TO DO?
I wonder what the movie rights were worth... somebody must be getting rich off this stupidity.
Have any of the people whining considered the cruelty of keeping a corpse "alive" for YEARS?

ARRGH. Have you ever had a loved one who was in a persistent vegetative state? This whole situation was a modern medical nightmare. It's more than just inconvenient to not be able to control your body or think a thought.

Money and power makes the world go round. The world is a bad horrible place. This is very common.
Terri Schiavo closed her eyes to pray with the priest and reopened them when he finished praying.
I work with people just like her and I tell you what. They were not vegetables.

Am I the only Christian that does not have a problem with what occured in the Terri Schiavo case?
She was already dead. They just took away that which was sustaining her and that was blended food through a feeding tube. She had no conscious brain activity.

Schiavo was brain dead. People were fighting over the body. Instead of believing a politician making diagnosis based on video, listen to the doctors that actually took care of Terri.
