I agree with some of these answers, and disagree with some.
I don't believe girls should play mind games. Thats the last thing a guy needs.
However, if we gave in to everything, and I mean everything, what fun would it be after you get what you want? Its kinda like jumping into bed on the first date, for some it feels like you've spoiled everything already.
But yes, we women want to know that you really care. Some of us are rather, pissy alot, but that may be just a wall, a guard we put up. We want to know that someone cares enough to earn our trust to get through the wall. When it comes down to it, no one wants to get hurt.

In that particular situation where you like someone back, some girls don't play hard to get. The ones that do sometimes win and sometimes lose.

I am a girl and I think it is stupid. I don't think anyone should play games in a relationship. There is know reason to get over it but every reason to ignore any girl that thinks she is so good that you have to persuade her to be with you. No one is worth it if you have to chase and beg. There are nice girls out there that are not full of themselves.

At first. my girlfriend played hard to get with me but I won her heart. I was sweet to her, I did everything a good guy would do. Just be sweet to her, make her feel like she's the only one, and compliment her..

She might be shy or freaked out.
If that is the case, then just be nice and ask her out and have good conversation.
If she just wants attention, then start ignoring her.
