As a secular humanist that believes in tolerance for all beliefs and creeds (unless they are harmful to others), I see no problem in people believing and worship ping in a Supreme Being.
What causes problems among people is in the HOW that God should be worshiped, which brings about rifts among different religious groups. If belief in a God brings about goodness in society, and gives people hope, there is nothing wrong with those beliefs. Rather, problems are created when humans try to interpret those beliefs according to their own perceptions.

Atheists propose that we follow science. I hope no matter what atheists say, people who believe in God will stay on the right track.

Maybe do volunteer work if they aren't already. Read some actual FUN books to their children. Take a walk, have a picnic, go camping, go caving (one of my personal favorites), take a nice drive on a beautiful day...the possibilites are ENDLESS. Just open yourself up to life without religion.
