Always have a box of matches on hand and light one every time he farts. Seriously, it makes the smell go away!

Take advantage of the opportunity to rip one whenever YOU want to. Fair's fair.
Either that or ask him to keep it to a minimum...it won't work if you ask him not to fart around you ever, but maybe if you gave him "Free Fart Fridays." That way he can still do his gross manly stuff every once in a while but you'll only have to put up with it 1/7th of the time.
