I'm very sorry to hear about your loss -- such a tragedy must be terrible to deal with. However, it is neither your fault nor the hospital's. MRSA is very difficult to sterilize and is primarily an opportunistic infection that affects those who are sick, or who have weakened immune systems, like your child. It's somewhat multifactorial and almost random who is affected, like how one of your children was afflicted while the other was fine. Again, I'm sorry for your loss.

I too am very sorry for your loss. It used to be that MRSA was only caught in long term facilities, or older people could get them as secondary infections. You should talk to your doc, so he can reassure you, or talk to you about how maybe the baby got it. But, from what I know of MRSA, is that it's likely around alot more than people realize, and for some reason this baby got it and couldn't fight off infection. But, please, do talk to your doc, you don't need to carry this guilt around. I can't imagine your grief, and you want to be
there for your other baby, mind, body and spirit. Take care new mama

Your babies were almost three months premature. They were not fully developed and were subject to all sorts of problems even if they did not have all those problems. You were not to blame and neither was the hospital. MSRA is a staph infection which does not respond to certain antibiotics. I do not know whether it responds to other antibiotics.

I had staph and no hospital was involved. It did not respond to the antibiotic I was using so I quit using it and recovered anyhow.

I am very sorry for your loss but am glad that your other twin survived.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Because of the early age your twins were born, they were susceptible to a lot of life threatening viruses and bacterial infections. It has nothing to do with you, and the hospital setting was probably not an issue either.

I'm pretty certain there is no way this is your fault. Please get someone to talk to because I can't imagine the level of pain this must bring to you. You deserve alot of love right now. You'll be in my prayers. I wish i could write something to let you know you are not alone. If you ask, God will help you through this terrible time.
