She sees the bird in the mirror as an other bird. It's not unusual for birds to do this as they reach sexual maturity. She may even lay eggs. Take the mirror out if it worries you. You can reset her body clock by covering her cage earlier in the evening and uncovering it a little later in the morning, she will start to think it's winter and there for not breeding season. If she lays eggs in the bottom of her cage, leave them there for a couple of weeks she will then lose interest in them and you can remove them. If you take them out as she lays them, she will lay more and could exhausted herself

Sounds like your bird has hit maturity. If you want, you can remove the mirror. It is a completely normal behavior. Just be glad that it isn't your toes or hand! I have seen reports of both on here! lol

You should definitely remove the mirror if she starts to lay eggs.

first of all is this Shawna??? LOL! had to ask because I gave her a bird that humped the mirror, I just figured the bird was in love with itself.

If she lays, you may also be able to replace them with small plastic eggs found at craft stores or marbles.
