ive been on it for a while and the past 2 weeks a lot.. but so far havent had anything in 5 days. when could i pass a drug test???

I am an MD. Methadone stays in your body for a long time with a half life of around 36 hours. However, the standard opiate test will not show methadone. A separate test is required specifically to test for methadone. Whether you pass the drug screen or not depends on the dose of methadone that you took, how long you wait, how dilute your urine is and whether the test is sophisticated enough to test specifically for methadone. If you have a legitimate prescription for methadone then it should be ok even if you test positive, since it is illegal to discriminate against people with legitimate health issues. On the other hand, if you don't have a legitimate prescription, then you are taking the drug illegally. If that is the case, then why bother with taking drug screens? You can make far more money in the illicit drug industry
for far less effort and hassle. That might be your better option.

go to the drug store and buy a drug test to see. There are a few that will test for multiple things (I think they're around 25 dollars).... then you would be sure :)
