there is mountains of evidence to support evolution. "proof" is a subjective term that does not apply to scientific theories.

Because it's a belief, it's not based on empirical evidence, but rather on "more or less" than educated guesses. I actually think of it as a religion rather. A godless one for that matter. But then, that shouldn't be too bad for an atheist... which I am not. There's actually more 'proof' to support the Bible as being true than the evolution. But then, nobody is listening. So, like we learned in Math... the best we can come up is are some 'theories" which means that they need yet to be proven. It's okay if you wanna believe in it I guess, it sure makes for an interesting reading at best. You never play pretend if you're an atheist? I think, in all fairness, that you should consult all sources of information, an educated person is by far a well rounded educated and informed person. so now it's probably time to ask yourself why you believe that which you believe? If you can answer that question, my friend, you are in control. Does that make any sense?
In the Bible, for example, it's written that God himself is challenging people to try him and see if he's what he says he is. No harm in that, right? No pressure, either. No obligation. Just an invitation. Really. Party here at the Johnson's, coming? No? Oh, OK, have fun. That kind of thing. And, of course, we'll miss you... That's all. Took me a long time to figure that out.
I personally strongly support free will. Not free consequences. That's a whole other issue. I play chess, and as a chess player, I always think of the end of things... of consequences. If I make that move, such and such will happen. Some people just make the move. I ponder a little. There's two kinds of people from a chess player's standpoint, those who win, and those who lose. Ties don't really matter, it just means rematch.
Well, OK. I hope you find what you are looking for. Ciao!

Proof only exists in mathematics. In the real world, there are only theories that have stood the test of time. Theories stand the test of time if:
1) there is a great deal of evidence that supports the claims of the theory
2) there is no evidence that contradicts the claims
3) the theory makes predictions what will be seen under conditions not previously tested, and the predictions are verified to be true (i.e. the theory predicts evidence before it is seen).

The Theory of Evolution has done all of these things. Is is far richer than most creationists imagine. And the few creationists who have actually studied Evolution in depth and still deny it are simply in denial because they cannot reconcile it with their faith. This is because their faith is irrational.

Note that there are many theists (including many Christians) who accept evolution, and have no problem reconciling it with their faith.

In two hundred years, *everyone* will accept Evolution, just as everyone now accepts that the Earth is a sphere and revolves around the Sun, even though 500 years ago this was thought to contradict the Bible.

For those that claim there is no evidence for macro evolution, please see the link below! The claim that there is no evidence for macro evolution is pure propaganda. There is actually a wealth of evidence for macro evolution.

The evidence is the same for all people to observe and investigate. Everyone has preconceived ideas as to whether they can back up their belief system with that evidence. Evolution scientists interpret it one way and Creation scientists the other. That's why it is not fact. There is nothing consistent in the evidence to point to species evolving or old age of the earth. Large change should be happening all around us in bunches. Nope. It's not. Tiny little changes from a blunt nose to a pointed nose or black to white are not species to species changes. Large changes like ape to man are not present. There isn't any transitional species around today. Many excuses as to why there isn't. To argue over it is useless. Evolutionist have thought for many years that the more the evidence poured in the more it would back their point. Maybe it's in the jungles or on Mars. Darwin in particular thought that. It hasn't. In many cases it disproves their assumptions. There is no proof. We all believe in gravity. We all can see it's effect. Now you can get those that will say yeah but... Please spare us the word games.

Science isn't so much about proving beyond reasonable doubt, but more about possibility and theory. However there is such a thing as spontaneous evolution where certain animals and fish have evolved to adapt to the environment that they now find themselves in. A couple that I am aware of is a fish that has gills that enable it to survive in a sewerage outlet. This species of fish only exists here and can now ONLY survive in this man-made environment. There is also a species of finch that inhabits a small island that has lost most of its vegetation. This bird has now evolved into a vampire-type species to ensure its survival. It pecks at the feathers of larger sea birds and makes them bleed, then feasts on the blood. This version of finch only exists on this island and the same species is found on neighbouring islands where it only feasts on plant matter.

Because matter cannot create itself ! Knowledge cannot create itself ! There had to be a starting point for life as we know it with DNA , man and his science has no idea to this day how to create DNA . Also ; knowledge had to have a beginning and progress from that beginning , God is the author of the universe and of all life and knowledge ! Mans` own science has proven that a protein molecule cannot be created by anything other than another protein molecule . You can`t create order out of disorder , this has been proven by man in the chemical scheme of things. Basically , you can`t create a living thing out of nothing ! So ; it all goes back to Genesis 1:1 IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH ..................Also ; the word GENE , comes from GENEsis .

If there were proof of evolution, we would all know it. It would be all over TV, and in the papers.

Every time a new missing link appears, a few years later it turns out to be a fraud. There are no missing links, because there is no evolution.

One animal NEVER evolved into another. It can't happen in one year, and it can't happen in a million, or a billion years.

Evolution is just a stubborn world view that won't go away. It has been around for 150 years. It has its loyal believers, like any religion. The problem is when they call it science. It isn't science!

Evolution is not an atheistic theory. Many believe that evolution is just one of Gods methods of creation. That theory does not lesson God and it is supported by the Bible.

"And God said let the earth bring forth the creatures of the sea."

Read about intelligent design theories.

There is proof the evolution occurs. The only real question is weather man evelved from a common ansester of the ape. People resist this because they think it makes them less godlike to be apelike, but Gos crated apes to in his own way. The part of use that is in Gods image is our souls, not our bodies.

evolution is change. You must be thinking "humans come from monkeys." Evolution is when an organism changes and adapts to a new environment. For example there are bacteria that can become immune to a certain antibiotics after being exposed to it. Evolution is a slow change. It is slower than watching paint dry, that is why you don't notice the change.

Most scientific theories are inherently unproveable, because they are universal statements, which are inherently unproveable: there could be a counterexample lurking somewhere that has not yet been found. But evolution is an exception: it consists of existential, not universal statements, so it is possible to prove it, and I have done so; details on request.
