Well, I'm a convert to Catholicism and I love Roman and European history. So I chose Saint Helena. She is the patron saint of converts and historians.

I don't believe in patron Saints. I believe in Jesus Christ the Son of God. All others have gone on to their rewards and have no more direct work or connection with this world. We have a direct relationship with Christ Himself and God the Holy Spirit - we need no human intervention. God gave us Himself and His Word (both living and written) - that is the most powerful thing in the Universe...don't degrade Him by desiring "patron saints."

This "SAINTS" thing is something that the Catholic church dreamed up. The Bible says that ALL believers are "Saints". If you want someone to guide you, look to God Himself. It takes knowing Jesus as your saviour first. The book of John in the Bible is a great place to learn what this is all about. Then ask God for help to guide you in your life. The "saints", those who have already died are forbidden to help us. It is strictly between us and God.

My patron is Lucia because I was born on her feast-day(for a saint the day they go to heaven is the day we remember them). She was a virgin girl who refused to marry for the sake of her Lord and she was martyred for her refusal.

It is completely biblical by the way to honor those who have have gone before us in the faith.

I am Saint Nearly, the patron saint of all confused church people, especially deranged Baptists; what do you wish to know my child?
