in a girl? cause most guys like just like looks...is that true?

I just answered a question a few minutes ago, and my answer pretty much covers this question too, so here is basically my point of view on this:

I'm a male, 21 yrs old...

When it comes to being attracted to a female, there are 3 basic things-

1. Personality, Values, Interests
2. Physical things they can change
3. Physical thing they can not change.

In my opinion, #1 has the most weight when considering a girl, BUT, I have to be attracted to her physically in some way- this is just realistic (for this though, it honestly is nothing specific, and is definitely not based on stereotypical attractiveness).

Personally I really am attracted to girls that respect their bodies in terms of both relationships and how they treat themselves in terms of health and fitness.

Now, I'm into diet and a healthy lifestyle. This is were #2 comes into play. If a girl is overweight or obese, I am not attracted to her-especially if she gives no real effort to change what she can. If a girl is overweight dramatically, it tells me that they do not respect their bodies to the extent that I believe is important. They CAN change this, but they choose not to. While this doesn't make them a bad person in any way, shape or form, its just not something that fits with my value system, ya know.

Now, #3.... Everyone has things that can not change about them. And these types of things are something I always try to take into the equation. Girls shouldn't worry about these things at all, and be themselves! :-)

I am really, really attracted to girls who have not gotten "around"- and because it is such a rarity, its even more attractive to me when I meet a girl like that.

Things that I PERSONALLY find attractive: brunettes, NOT lazy, NON-smoker, has strong common sense, clean and good hygiene, fit, likes children and animals, and actually cares about the world and environment.

Maybe this is why I'm still single lol! Too picky?

It's true that a lot of guys just care about looks, but don't let this put you down, there are some that value other things.

Looks are a plus. They do matter.. but they don't mean everything.
In a girl I think Personality is the most important, Along with how they treat guys.. or anyone. I prefer a girl with a natural look, too much makeup looks fakey.. and gentlemen don't like fake girls.

I like a easy going, intelligent, friendly girl. whether or not they play sports is just not important to me.
One thing i don't like is when girls go out with guys because they're "hot" and only because of that. When a girl likes someone for who they are and not what they look like ..it means A Lot!

I'll tell you that I DON'T much like the all to common "outgoing" personality girl... but then :) I am a little different from most people. As the first responder stated, people have different preferences. I wouldn't give much thought to a "sk8er" type or anyone who would spell "skater" in that manner. Likewise, I am probably not the type intellectually that you would wish to attract. 5'5 is a good height. Blue eyes tend to be desirable.

I don't think I am typical but I like to see girls act unselfishly and have some moral compass. Instead of being 100% in charge of my own development I would like to follow add someone else's to my effort. I'm 46 though.

no its not, not grant it, looks are a big part, but the most beautiful girl in the world can be stupid, and she wont get any guys. and if they dont have a sence of humor, they are really anoying. Also if they will spred there legs for anything moving

No looks help a lot but a sweet caring loving girl is what i look for it is the girls who put looks first.

quite honestly, a guy comes for the looks, but stays for someone who he is truly compatible with. someone who makes him laugh and cry. someone who gives him butterflies every time he sees her. lol i know it sounds mushy, but guys really are deeper than just looks!
