I often see "not in my name " in some news
Can anyone tell me its meaning and how to use it
please

"Not in My Name" has been used a lot by anti-war protesters lately. It generally means that the Government is taking an action (such as the invasion of Iraq) that the protesters really dont like.

Often you will see it written on placards (hand held posters) carried by protesters at demonstrations.

Just liberal nonsense don't worry about it. The trashy Daily Mail said that the country didn't what to go to Iraq. It's motto was "Not In My Name" to be honest it made little sense but it probably get people to part with their cash to buy a copy.

It means , the person is disowning whatever is written or that the author disagrees with the concept and will not allow it to be said or written as his or her byword.

It means you completely disagree with a proposal or action, and will not have your name tarnished with any association to either the proposal or the action..

It means that you do not want to be associated with whatever is happening and it kind of means you want it to be known you are against it.

to discuss and tell certain things but not using or accepting any liability attached to it, so they say not in my name or in other words anonymous

It has to do with ownership of an item. If something isn't in your name it means that your name doesn't appear on the title or deed, so you don't own it. It's not registered to you.
