No regrets, The God I have chosen to follow has given me a wonderful life full of hope and if it just so happened it was the "wrong" god, then I would've had a wondeful life here on this earth regardless.

The fact that you are asking questions is a good sign because you are open to new ideas. I don't believe that there is a wrong God. I was a christian for the first 14 years of my life and then I started asking some very deep and personal questions. I suppose I currently follow the teachings of Buddha, but I like to think that I am following my own path.

Like I said, there is no wrong God. Think about it, all religions (that I know of) have a god who created the universe and everything in it, loves us unconditionally and pretty much keeps existence going.

Some call God Allah, Godhead, Jehovah or any other number of names. The different religions just have different perspectives on God, how to worship him and how his word is interpreted.

You have obviously learned about God from a certain perspective and now you feel it's time to see the whole thing from another perspecive.

I think that all people have the right beliefs. If you believe in heaven/hell or nirvana or just becoming wormfood then that is what will be true to you and your life. Whichever path you choose will be the right one as long as you have faith and you are enlightened.

I was in that very situation. I was a "born again Christian" and couldnt understand why this, or why that. No one could really answer any of my questions. Like why do we only live for 80 or 90 years, when turtles and trees live for much longer? Why does God allow wickedness if He is a God of Love? Why do we grow old and die when scientists say that under perfect conditions, we should be able to live forever? If we came from apes and monkeys, then why are there still apes and monkeys? What really happened to my father who died? Is he sleeping in death awaiting a resurrection, which is mentioned in the bible? or is he already in heaven? And if he is already there, then when EXACTLY does he get resurrected? or is he burning in hell? Does anyone REALLY go to hell? and where is this place called hell and who made it? Yes, I had all of those questions. And I was very perplexed when none of the "spiritual men" could answer these questions to my satisfaction. All I ever heard was "You just have to have faith" or "You don't have holy spirit yet" or "its supposed to be a mystery, don't ya know that?" If anyone else has these very questions and wants the satisfying answers that I got straight from my own copy of the Bible, then email me directly. After I found out that I was being lied to, and in fact following the wrong God, sure I was mad, felt violated to a degree, hurt. But then when I learned the answers to all those questions, It didnt really matter anymore. The important thing was that I began serving the true God. Hope this helps!

what an excellent question, I pondered this for some time and I guess my answer would be "sad"
there are 3 basic belief systems
1) you decompose, thats the end, the void ain't no more.
2)one life here the heaven/hell
3) reincarnation, many lifetimes here to learn the lesson to choose to go back to father or not.

no matter what you believe two of the three are wrong.

learn all you can with as open mind as you can, pray for guidance within. ponder everything keep what feels true and dump the rest, some of what you dump might be truth but if it is not true now it will come to you again.

The one thing that I believe with all my heart is if #1 is wrong than for me to put my soul in the best position possible forwhatever is next is to choose love/fellowship in all that I can. to share love/joy and laughter. It is my joy to share with those that I love. I am amazed at how many who do not do this.

The God is the same one, what you mean is have you been following the wrong teachings and that is a different question.

The only way any of us will ever find out if we have been following the wrong God, will be when we die and after that who really cares.

Nothing wrong with following the "wrong God". The Journey is its own reward. I, for one, am wandering rather than following, and have already experienced enough joy to make my wandering worth its while.

I think you mean "wrong religion", not wrong God. I wouldn't have that problem because I don't believe in any religion. All I believe in is that we are creations of God.

Who are you talking to? I follow the Norse Gods and Goddesses.

If I were to find out that Zeus was the one running things or even Anubis, I wouldn't be too disappointed.

There's no such thing as worng God. It's just perceived and translated differently in other cultures.
