Passport is a document that shows proof of citizenship, a vista is a view. If you mean 'visa', a visa is an entry permit issued by a country to visitors as a way of tracking activity, such as a work visa, student visa, diplomatic visa, etc.

It's a "Visa"....not "Vista"
A Passport is the document issued by the State Department.
When you enter a foreign country, they stamp the pages within your passport with that country's official stamp (Visa) allowing you permission to be within that particular country.

A passport is your country's permission to leave your country. A visa is another country's permission to visit their country. The visa is entered in your passport.
