Yes. Contact your financial aid office.

The amount of financial aid you are eligible for is capped by your total cost of attendance (COA), which includes tuition, room, and board, which means you can't have more financial aid - loans too - that exceed your COA. But your financial aid office can see if you have loan eligibility that you haven't taken advantage of yet to pay for your computer, or they could add $$ to your budget - which would increase your COA, which give you eligibility for a loan to purchase a computer.

Financial Aid is the term used to describe any assistance (grants loans scholarships..) for college. To purchase a computer you could take out a student loan from a third party lender. Some states have aid caps which prevent someone from taking out too much aid. These caps can be circumvented through the financial aid office at your university. The process of getting a student loan can take time since it needs to be approved by the lender, the student, and the academic institution.

The best bet would be to go and talk with your university's financial aid office and they will show you what is available for you.

Sure but I would n't tell them it's for that.. Tell them it's to pay bills. You can get an UNSUB loan even IF you don't qualify for it..It's not based on need..They don't consider a computer a NECESSITY..since most schools have computer labs.. I had to get a used car because mine played out and my school had a fit.. They told me I should move where I can walk to school.. (the car was cheaper) or take a cab (30 miles one way).. BE CAREFUL
