Why not, indeed. Are homiletics of the faith spicier when the pastor or priest disavows his point with atheistic doubt, all while tweaked on meth?
A church board with deacons of the faith know their faith and would easily vet a would be pastor/priest that wasn't legit. Background checks are just a normal way of doing business once a candidate passes the interviews. I'm gay, used to smoke meth and I love Jesus Christ.

If an atheist became a pastor of Christianity then he would no longer be atheist. If a gay meth user gave his or her life to Christ and ask for forgiveness then they would no longer be a meth user or gay. God forgives and will deliver you if you ask. You cannot be any of these things or commit these sins and be Christian.

Obviously the church doesn't know they are whatever they are thats bad before they're 'hired' so its not like they say, OK you're gay, be a priest. You want an atheist to be a priest? Who says there's not already? Just because its not out in the open doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Well, why would an atheist preach about God when they don't believe in God? And if I was in that church with that gay meth guy, I'd start looking for another church.
