you should take it as a compliment, if all your guy wants is you, then he must really like you (I know a lllooot of dudes that would want more than their gf's for v-day).
Don't make this complicated though, you sound like you're 14-16, and I'm pretty sure you don't have a job yet ( no offense :)
So just give him you. Maybe just take some pictures, go eat, go to the theater, and enjoy the special night; all that matters is love when it comes to valentine's

It's extremly hard to tell because either the guy means it or he doesn't, sorry I know that doesn't really help but you can't truly know. And even though he said that you should still get him something it's only thoughtful, maybe some cologne, or a cd of a band he likes.

Give him something cool but not to girly. Go to the mall and buy a necklace and it doesn’t need to be of gold just something that look good and cool.
