If he is truly your friend; then asking him out if he is NOT gay will make things awkward. You should know that you can not change someones sexual preference. He is straight and prefers women...as you prefer guys...respect that. Good luck!

Dude,let that one go.I have gay relatives who have been hurt physically in the past when they've went after straight guys.
I have been approached by gay men before,and I've always been able to nicely turn them down,but most guys who consider themselves straight are not like that at all.Many are are homophobic and are willing to get violent in order to confirm their heterosexuality.At the very least,you run the risk of losing a friend.Unless you're getting some kind of signal from the guy,don't go there

well im sorry to say this but u dont... and i know that is hard but obviously u guys are friends and wanna keep it that way...
u could tell him how u feel but things will most likely change just in ur normal relationship even if u dont ask him out...
thats all i can say...that and everything will be ok :)

think about this 4 a second here. hes NOT gay. that mean that the idea of dating a guy is REPULSIVE to him. drop it. u CANT convert someone. u have no chance, and the sooner u realize this, the happier ull be.

You can't. Just like you can't be forced to date a girl, he can't be forced to date a guy. If you are sure he's straight, then move on and try to find someone else. There really is no way!
