Well, think about it: your friendship with him has kind of already been a little ruined, since you will never be able to think of him the same way, and you will always be wondering what your guys could have been together as a couple. If you really like him, respect his opinion about not wanting to date until 16. Now the only thing you can do is wait. Maybe before he turns 16, he will decide to date you, or maybe when he turns 16, you guys can finally date, or maybe when he turns 16 you will already have moved on. You never know! :) But for now, tell him your feelings and see what he does.

Think about it, first. If he says he doesn't want to date until he's 16, then that's fine- it's his opinion. You like him as he is now, and if you try and change him, you'll be changing all of him and not just one or two traits about him. And will you still like him if you do change him, and make him change his mind?
But you don't have to completely withdraw from him. Hang out with him often- if you have a couple years before he actually dates, make those years count. Make it so that if anyone comes into his mind about dating, let it be you. Eagerly await for that day.

sounds very familar with a situation i had once, except i was the person that liked the girl and i was totally afraid of wrecking it. you just gotta work the nerve to tell them. being quite about it will not help the situation, and wishing and waiting won't get you any closer to being with that person. but keep this in mind-don't compromise your personality. trying to pretend to be someone you aren't just to get someone to like you is just wrong, not just to that person you like but wrong to yourself

there is nothing wronge with church. but at your age i wouldnt even worry about it. most adults dont have the same friends that they had in high school, so the odds of lasting is very slim so be friends but dont fall in love and enjoy your youth.

You have to tell him how you feel, but if he has it in his head that he dosen't want to date until he gets a certian age you might have to respect that. I'm sorry.
