Ola, and Alexandra, names to make a man's heart melt. Keep them dear heart, they are wonderful names.
I can understand your feelings however. At one time I would have changed mine. Kerry is a bit unusual, and there was a fair amount of teasing about it being a girl's name. Then I decided that it was different, and unique, qualities that I liked. Keep your name as it is, in due time I believe that you will come to see that you have a name to be proud of, and will enjoy.

I love your name. Plus, it was a gift from your mother. I'm sure she had a reason why she gave you this name. Have you discussed her reasons with her? I see no reason to go by an "English name" rather than by your birth, ethnic name. I think names are not just words, but signify your heritage and history. I would be hesitant to give that up. If you really want to change it, try going by a name that you prefer for a year and then reconsider. Don't legally change it until you are 30 years old, because you may have a serious change of heart as an adult.

Ola is an unique name....why do you want to change it? Do you prefer to be special or like anyone else? Do you what to have a common name...like Alexandra, by example? It is a nice name...but so common....I have strange names too...people have difficulties in pronouncing them(Arna & Emina), but I would never change my name...

I think you should keep your name. I know a person who changed her name. When I call her "Sandra", she doesn't even react, although that's her (changed) name. But when I call for "Bine", she asks "yeah?", so she still reacts on her original name. I also think that your parents didn't give you any name, they gave you a special name. By the way, what don't you like about Ola? It sounds nice.

Just because your name is weird doesn't mean you should change it. By the way I really like it. having a different name makes you an individual.
