Hi Honey--it's not just Siamese cats---it's MOST cats that are truly a one-person pet, and they are the ones who do the picking of who's "baby" they're going to be.
Good example: My daughter-in-law wanted this little female calico cat. My son wasn't real fond of the idea, as they already had 2 dogs. But, of course, she won. So, now they have "Daisy", the cat, and guess what---she is a total "Daddy's Girl", and he spoils her rotten. So, just goes to show ya---they'll pick whoever they prefer. And mine--I can't leave his sight without him following me wherever I go, and the bathroom is especially interesting. Go figure!

My seal point siamese Mooshu is a social butterfly! He considers any open lap fair game and is a people greeter when I have guests. My munchikin siamese Miyagi is more of a one person cat. He has to really feel comfortable with the environment before he comes out for company.

My lovely Siamese lady is definitely a one person puss. She likes my husband and will sit on his lap and let him pet her but I am the people that she follows around and sticks closest too. She sleeps on my side of the bed with me, sits by me on the computer desk and sits at the bathroom door while I'm in the shower and getting ready to go somewhere. Siamese are royal cats and they tend to bond with the one person who worships them the most.

Siamese cats are kind of prissy. They're very loud and demanding and like most cats hate loud noises. And from personal experience don't like it when you have sex, because then you're not paying attention to them. I would say it's a bad idea for the lifestyle you have.

Yes my Siamese, B. Favre, is my boy and mine only. He is 8 years old and I have had him since he was 10 months old. My boyfriend and I moved in in August and although he tolerates him, he is still my baby. It also goes to who feeds the cat; I do and have for 8 years so that makes a big difference. My boyfriend has done it maybe twice, so that is not huge in his eyes. But I agree, they are loyal to one owner only.

'Meezers are known for bonding with one person. That is one of the things that make them such wonderful little fur children.
One of mine is sitting in my lap while I am typing this and the other one is sitting behind my head on the recliner.
