Thank you to all. My cat needed to go to the Vet, Had a very high fever, needed to be knocked out and a drain placed in his belly. I want to thank you all for being supportive and giving me good advice. Our furry children are part of whom we are and we must always take care of them. Thanks again to all of you you helped me make the decision to take him to the vet

I am glad everything worked out. I have my vet on speed dial for any emergency that happens.

This is more of a thankyou note than a question, but I'm glad you took the cat to the vet on the advice of the good people here. I wasn't one of the ones who answered your question, but I hope your kitty is doing much better now. You should always watch for signs of illness in an animal. You can tell by abnormal behavior or a change in their habits; i.e., poor appetite, listlessness, excessive meowing or sleeping, and dull, lackluster eyes and coat. I agree that pets are like family members, and depend on their owners to take care of them, especially when they're sick and can't tell you what's bothering them. Hope your kitty enjoys good health from now on.

Good deal, the kitty will be fine now. I am glad you went to the vet and dealt with it. The drain will come out in about a week and I bet he'll be aces after that!

you needed someone to tell you to take your cat to the vets after it was attacked? I'm not sure if you should own a cat.
