i've got been studying this plenty via fact i'm in love with my long hair even however I desperately choose the ineffective ends off. easily a trim is all the ineffective ends off (not greater yet additionally no longer much less) so counting on the wear and tear it might desire to be a million/2 an inch besides the undeniable fact that it might desire to be 4 inches! Ask for a dusting! it fairly is the common a million/4 to a million/2 inch that folk incredibly recommend while they mentioned "purely a trim"

I think it's all those make over showsXD
I remember when my friend and I cut our hair lol...I cut off a bit my my braid while she cut off a good chunk of her hair and we traded lol....
now in grade 1 when I was 6...that's when I was really cutting hair...cutting my dolls hair and this girl in my class' hair...me and a friend were cutting it b/c she told us we could ...we were called down to the office and the girl told the principal that we cut her hair w/o her permisson...if he actually took her seriusly...we would have been in sooo much more trouble....but he just told us not to do it again... lol
and i remember putting all these products in my hair to make it look pretty...but it just ended up looking dirty ...and I'd have to wash my hair everyday(I hated that)

I think its a combination of things; a wild imagination, too many barbie dolls thats hair grows magically in record time if you pull it hard enough, availability of sharp pointy objects and an inability to concieve of the outcome and after effects of wildly sawing off chunks of hair.

A friend and I cut our own hair when we started school at the age of 5. I think it has something to do with learning to use sissors.

It seemed like a good idea at the time?
I can remember doing that *laughs* although I preferred practising on Barbie dolls- why can you never cut their hair straight? My Mum just let me get on with it and I grew bored...

*lol* That is funny but true! My sisters all did it, and one of the children I work with did this THREE times now! Maybe they see people getting haircuts and think they can do it. Or it is the age when they are allowed to finally use scissors in school.

I did that. I was trying to cut the short hair at the back and ended up going to high up.

I don't understand it either. Last summer, my four year old had beautiful golden hair, just past her shoulders and one night she found a pair of scissors in her older sisters room and whacked it all off, up to her earlobes! And to make matters worse, she didn't touch the back, so she gave herself a mullet! It's finally staring to grow to a decent length again.

I still do it. I do it to my bangs and they come out pretty nice. The reason that little girls do it is because they think that they can create nicer cuts than what they have or they are tired of how they look.

My 6 year old did it twice within 2 weeks time. She now has to live with the mess she created until it grows out. (I was more upset about it than she was.)
