Please help! My Cockadoo accidently got out of cage when window was open and flew off. I can see the bird in the trees in my yard but cannot catch her. How can I lure this bird back somehow.

Call a wildlife rescue agency to see if they will help you recover the bird. They are trained in capturing animals without injuring them. If they agree to help you and regardless of capturing your runaway, out of gratitude pull out your checkbook and make a donation to the organization.

Wow....sorry about your bird. Here's what i tried when my bird flew away. I put the cage that she lived in outside. Make sure that it's in an elevated place that she can see it. If she recognizes the cage, then she should fly back into it.
I REALLY hope you get your bird back!!!

take her cage outside and put her fav treats in there.
if you have other birds that she knows then take them out in another cage and sit them near her opened door cage with the treats she might here them calling and come back and go in her cage for the treats, if you get her back maybe the best thing to do is clip her wings so she cant fly away or hurt herself.

Birds eyesight is unbelieveably acute.If your bird loves a certain snack(.Mine love millet),put a large amount of it in the birds plain sight.He will see it and probably come for it.When you do get your precious bird back,have his wings clipped immediately.It is not cruel,and will prevent this frightning thing from happening again.It also makes them more tame.Good Luck

try putting her cage outside where she can see it. If she has favorite foods try putting those in it. (obviously take out other birds if they are in the cage).

keep its cage in clean sight, The bird will see it and fly back

If she's attatched to you sit in your yard and call her. Eventually she'll come home.
BTW what the hell is a Cockadoo?
