my little sister still sucks her thumbs my parents and i have tried to make her stop. but we can't think of any more ways to make her stop . how can she stop

Why do you get to decide when she should stop? I have a 25 year old sibling who still sucks her thumb at night. I could care less. It's her thumb.

It depends on how old she is. You can reward her with something great if she doesn't suck her thumb for a week, then something else if she goes two weeks - etc. It worked to get my son to stop bitting his nails. They also make a product that you can put on her thumb to make it taste bad, or wrap it in a bandage. I work for a dentist and we can make a mouth guard that stays in the roof of her mouth and makes it impossible for her to suck her thumb. Good job in getting her to quite - it can cause alot of damage to her mouth and she may have to have extensive orthodontic work does to correct it.

depending on her age, if she is young it is fine that she sucks it. if she is older, she needs to stop. bring this to attention to your parents. maybe they have an idea. if u have already try and think of ways to make if sound bad to HER about sucking thumbs. make up something about sucking thumbs that will scare her, or make her think twice before she does it again...

How old is she, To be honest, I have never seen a bride walk down the asile sucking her thumb, we all get thru that:)
Let her go and she will stop. She may be doing it for attention, just don't bring it up.

My sister still sucks her and she is 15 almost 16 anways try putting spices on her thum before bed she wont suck it anymore. Ive tried that with my sis didnt work she loves spicy food oh well hope that works with u

how old is your sister. my sister was 13 when she stopped. usually it would go away. and im sure you must know that if it doesnt stop then her teeth will grow in crucked.
~make her take them out every time she does it in front of you.
~(this ones kinda mean) put some kind of chile or limon on them so that it wouldnt taste good wen she tries.
~ just wait it out shell learn to stop.

first how old is she?put hotsauce one he thunbsl and if she dosnt stop shell grow out of it.my brother sucked his fingers until he was 16

Stop calling it to her attention. She'll eventually stop when her friends start teasing her about it. Don't worry about it.
