What straightening iron would you recommend?

I don't use mine often and it hasn't been working well recently so I want to buy a new one. I've heard that ceramic ones work really well but I'm not sure. My hair is kind of wavy and extremely thick.

Any suggestions?

if you really want the best then you cant go past a ghd. they may be expensive, but in the long run it is definately worth it. it is such a versatile iron and you can create curls, flicks and or just have it straight. the ghd has full ceramic plates so they create a smoother, longer lasting effect than just ceramic coated irons :)

I highly suggest that you invest on a Chi Ceramic Iron. It is the best brand for taming wavy and thick hair. My hair can be very stubborn and coarse at times, but Chi is like a blessing to it.
