would it be possible to "understand" the idea of god without humanizing it or would it all be too abstract and unaccessible?
Why is christian religion so "arranged" to human necessities?
Why is christian religion about people explaining god explaining people???
in studying religion i have come to see that the success of Christian religion was due to the personalization of god...Pagan gods were often unaccountable, their actions were not explained, they did what they did just because, no explanations they were the gods.
Conclusion: Christian religion was human designed to attract people.

god is easily explained since the christian god is a human creation, you just have to study a little bit the history of your religion and you will be able to see a bit of light...Anyway you choose to believe and it is your choice i am not explaining your god just your religion since a religion is the human response to a god idea

You're going to Hell! Its in Michigan... want to meet me there for a drink next summer?

The Greeks and Romans also personalized their Gods. The Christians, over time "borrowed" a lot from other religions. The Celtic cross has a circle behind it because it represents the sun - the cross is in front of the circle, to show that the cross (Christianity) is superior to worshipping the sun. The history of the Christian church is actually quite interesting. I don't know if you've seen it, but "The First Christians", a PBS Special was quite good at explaining the first 300 years of Christianity and its origins.

Perhaps, humans were not doing all that well understanding God before Jesus. Those who do not learn from him still do not understand.

no, but maybe I
should I bow to your superior knowledge of all things spiritual and eternal?
and all this time, I thought God created the universe and created YOU and that He was the one with the vast knowledge of all things spiritual and eternal.
oh, before I give up on my belief in God totally, what are your qualifications again?
the created criticizing the Creator?
that is the height of human foolishness!
