with blower motor turned off you can feel heat at the vents, turn on blower and after a few seconds air turns cold any suggestions?

No leaks, radiator is full, and heater core is clear.

heater isn't working. check the adjustable valve cable which opens the in line valve, and the vacuum lines for proper functioning of the vent operating system. if the doors aren't working correctly, you are not getting heat from them. turning the fan on should force warm air into the compartment. since no hot air is coming through, then the most likely cause is the doors not functioning, ie opening and closing. you could have a vacuum leak, or the actuators are bad.
you may also have a bad control module or cable connector to the heater line valve.

could be as simple as -not enough coolant in the radiator--if so, fill it up and good to go --but then add radiator stop leak cuz you prob have a loss or leak somewhere-i use the one with the pellets and liquid-comes in a bottle-about $3

Likley a clogged heater core.. second guess? bad heater valve.. 3rd guess marginal thermostat

Check your coolant level in your radiator.
