Okay so this guy has been "hating" me since the beginning of the year and I don't know why. We were really close friends but then I guess one morning he woke up and "decided" to "hate" me. From Septemeber - November he always said he hated me whenever somebody mentioned me, yet now whenever I see him he stares at me non-stop for at least 5 minutes then walks/turns away and continues doing whatever he was before he saw me. Sometimes, if it's just me and him in a certain area, he looks at me, realizes it's me, then turns away without saying a word. My friends all say that he might just be scared to show his true feelings to me, but even if that's true I don't see how he could hurt me so much knowingly and still walk away from me. After everything that's happened, I still love him, but I don't know why. I'm just so confused about why he's acting like this and why he won't talk to me. If anybody has any ideas on what's going on or what I can do to find out, PLEASE tell!

Love and Hate are two sides of the same coin and easily flipped. I'd suggest giving him a little room. The best thing to do is to find out why he hates you. However, this isn't always possible, as I have found out. My ex hates me and I have no idea why she hates me. I can see some reasons why she might be angry with me, but she actually hates me, and I am clueless, for I never did anything that I am aware that would have caused more than a basic level of anger. Be nice to him anyway. It'll furiate him more, but that's the point isn't it? Abraham Lincoln said "When I make friends of my enemy am I not destroying my enemy?" This isn't always easy to do, but it is the right thing to do. Try and be his friend anyway. After all that's what they told us to do in Sesame street while I was growing up. They just never said how hard it is to accomplish it!

Write him a letter asking him why he's decided to hate you all of the sudden. Then let him know that you are fine with ending the friendship, but that you'd like him to quit acting childish about it. I mean come on, staring at you for five minutes? Doesn't he have anything better to do? If he's doing this because he likes you, can you imagine what kind of games he's going to play if someone actually dates him?

Have you somewhere along the line let on you liked him, a little? It might've scared him, and the only way he knows how to respond is that he hates you, because he's really scared to let you know how he really feels.
I've watched squirrels chasing one another. If their being chased, they'll run. But if their stopped being chased, they'll look back to see why, and then the chase will be reversed. The same goes for people, in all situations. Good Luck.

Sweetie, you didn't mention your age or his, but this is the kind of behavior that a pre-teen would be involved in. He is trying to intrigue you. Look, he has already gotten you to write this up on the Internet! But unless he is someone you would really, really, want to spend some time with.. just go do something else and ignore him more than he ignores you!

That happened to me in grammar school and high school and it turned out both guys had crushes on me. Young boys tease and bully and argue with girls they have crushes on sometimes because they don't know how to handle their feelings yet. Just ignore him and realize he has a crush on you.

ok here is the thing u know u love him and he DOES stare at u.... so im thinkin he at least likes u and maybe he doesnt want to talk to u cuz he is gettin shy but u said u were really good friends....
I think that he just doesnt know what to do or is confuzed himself...
so i say talk to him and just ask him what he is feelin....

Please get a person or two to be mediators-and the two of you sit down and talk-find out what happened to get this started, and why it's still going on, etc. It's always best to clear the air. Take care.

sounds like he knows something that u dont know that he knows about. or at least believes a rumor about u. so if youve done or said anything that would hurt him and think he doesnt know then theres your answer. if u havent done anything just ask him, or ask a mutual friend. somebody knows something, theyre just not telling you.

He probably really wants to show you his true feelings but cant or is really emberresed to so he is showing you the opposite feelings through a wall of hatred..Don't worry.
