what would have been or still is your criteria for success and do u think u are successful in life?
thing is see,...i saw a news report the other day on tv, and it was a story about how a guy set up a fancy dating service, where he hooks up guys and girls. the thing is, the guys had to be millionaires, the women had to be hot. that was it, then you're in.
but the news reporter reported it as 'women had to be hot, and the men....successful'.
they interviewed 2 people for the piece. a 24 year old woman, and a 25 year old guy.
so,...im 28, and im no millionaire. not by a long shot.
does that mean i've failed in life. im not successful?
and how about you? how do u feel about all this?

Success is an attitude, not a number in your check register or on the tag of your dress. My reaction to this dating service is: how sad.
I feel I am successful. I am not gorgeous (not bad for 46, but not gorgeous) or a millionaire, but I have a wonderful marriage, two fabulous kids, a job I like most days, and many friends. I am happy most of the time. I wouldn't trade places with anyone.
But hey, the question isn't how we think about this, out here in YA-land. How do YOU feel about it? Are you, at the age of 28, really prepared to define yourself as a failure because you don't have a million bucks in the bank?

I still have to graduate from high school, get a decent job, own a home and a car, and find a business suit that fits. However, I'm 17, so it'll take a while. Don't fret, though. I will be a successful woman. I can promise you that.

It depends on who's definition of success you are abiding to.
Every one has a different definition of the word, some being high expectations like a millionaire and others simply being something like living a life without worry.

It depends on what you judge success by. I guess the best way to tell would be to ask you if you are happy with you? I have discovered there are few other people that can tell if you are successful or not other than you, because most other people don't know what it is you wish to acheive.

i got this book by stephen convey and its called the 6 biggest decisons your will ever make. some people think getting a rich job is sucessful and having a hot partner is sucessful. you are sucessful in life if you are happy. why do we want a million making job? why do we want a wonderful partner? why do we want to be influenced in a great way? to be happy. even the homless man is happy if hes in love. hes not even close to being rich. so ask yourself if you are happy, for that is the only reason i can think of why we are on this earth. your sucessful in life if you help others and instead of throwing the bottle on the ground you recyled it. being a good human being, to me that is satisfiying.

that doesn't mean your not sucessful, as long as your doing things for yoursself and no one else and reaching your goals for yourself and being happy while doing it thats what makes you sucessful
