I am trying to plan a romantic evening for my boyfriend. We are getting married when he comes in from R&R. So far I have a limo to pick him up at the airport, going straight to a hot tub room at a hotel, where I will have fondue and wine and for dessert chocolate fondue. I am trying to make this a night to remember. Got any ideas for me?

First of all, congrats!! Listen, I'm speaking from experience here because my husband is there, too. He did 18 months the first time and he's been there now for 8 months. Keep the planning minimal. I know now that flights have gotten easier and more direct, but it's an exhausting trip from Iraq to get home. He may be tired, he may be on the opposite schedule as you... I wouldn't go overboard. Keep it simple... I'd stop with what you've got right there, maybe get some massage oils but just ask him what HE wants to do. My husband's first deployment was in Tikrit and it seriously used to take him 36 hours of travelling and waiting to travel (at airports, bus stations, etc) before he'd make it home. Good luck to you both - I'm so happy for you and please thank him for all his hard work... although it may seem that way, his sacrifices don't go unnoticed. =)

make his favorite meal or pick some of his favorite food up to go at a restaurant he likes..i think the fondue is a good idea but i would only have one a dessert one or a meal one... you can try to learn some strip dance moves (if you dont know already) and get some chocolate body paint...give him a nice massage in the hot tub write him a poem on how much you missed him how much you love him and how proud you are of him and share it with him

Do his parents live in the area? Does he know of your plans to want to spend the first night with him-just the two of you? Just wanting to make sure-so all this planning doesn't go to the way side. Your idea sounds good-can't think of anything esle. Take care.
