Since they have cute "forever a baby" features. They always hippity hop when they play. Many say (ancients civilizations) that cats are the next incarnation step up to a human body. Your kitty does seem exceptionally adorable.

Cats are very vocal by nature. When I was growing up in rural Maine, we had a veritable cat farm. Cats run the gamut in personalities...just like people. Some 'talk' a lot; others are reserved. I have an all-white domestic shorthair that has been deaf from birth. (Linked gene, I'm told between white dom. sh.'s and deafness...) She is very vocal; in fact, she meows so loud that it's practically a howl at times. Most mornings I'm customarily awakened by her symphony, which begins as a few shy rasps and then reaches a stentorian crescendo which is enough to wake the dead. She does this, I believe, just to let me know it's time to get up and play with her. What you describe does not seem uncommon at all. Cats will be cats.

I have 5 domestic short-hairs, 3 from the same litter.I've always had cats in my home at all times. Each has had it's own unique personality, just like people. But I have noticed that alpha males seem to be the most outgoing and "talkative". Since I have only had spayed or neutered cats I don't know if this is more common in neutered males or not.I also have a neutered female who is very quiet and very prissy and ladylike. She even likes "girlie" things like jewelry and perfume while the others do not.

Cats all have different personalities. Some are quiet, and others are "talkative". Some are aloof and others are friendly. Some are cuddly, and others are stand-offish and touch-me-not. Some cats will disappear when strangers come to the house, while still others are friendly and climb on the laps of people who hate cats. Your talkative kitty is an absolute delight. Enjoy him. That's his way of communicating with you and getting your attention.

It's very common. Some cats are just more vocal than others. Even adult cats too. There's a farm near my house with 6 barn cats, and Tiger (a black and silver tabby) follows me all over the place and meows. I notice it in dogs too. A friend of mine has a Husky/Malamute mix, and she is the most talkative dog! She howls..wooo woooo wooo, all the time!!

Behaviors vary among people and cats. Some cats are very vocal while others are quiet. It would be cool to video your kitty for one of those animal video shows. Have a purrfect year.

You got a talking cat. Go on Google and press view, then if you don't get the talking cat video then click cats on google.

I just saw the talking cats and it just cracked me up.

Yes, he is saying mamma, so don't think this is weird.

There are some cats that are more vocal than others. It isn't necessarily an uncommon finding.
