Do you believe kids at 12 should like "go out?" I went out with my friends one night and I've seen tons of kids our age going out on dates. I get asked out many times and sometimes I feel bad that I say no but really the reason for dating is to find "the one" you want to spend the rest of your life with. At 12 do you guys really think that a 12 year olds mind can process everything in a relationship? I'm not going to date just because I'll look good on a boys shoulder. I really think 12 year old dating is completly unnecessary. Starting this early can result in pregnancy you think? Starting at 12, and then BOOM 16 comes by and your not just going to want to date. You're going to want to expierament new things like sex. Who else agrees with me? Am I doing the right thing by waiting?

You are right. You should wait.
My children older children didn't date until they were 17 & 18. I am trying do the dame with the younger ones, but (as you said) they have friends who are permitted to. Doesn't matter to me. I still say no to them

I would say you have a very good attitude and that 12 is too young for dating anyway. Going out with a group of friends is one thing dating is differnt. I also say I don't know many 12 yr olds picking out a mate they want to marry.
