I just made lemon bars for the first time. I cooked them at the right temp for the right amount of time and when I took them out of the oven, they were still undone. The filling was still a little runny even after i cooled it. I had to pop it in the oven for another 15 minutes. How can you tell when lemon bars are done?

They're done when you can tip the pan and the center just jiggles a bit, it's a hard call, easy on the extra time, you can over cook it in a heartbeat. So it's just like cookies, you pull them even when you think they're not ready, Lemon bars take a bit to set-up and cool down.

Wish I could help you. Made them last Christmas for the first time. I'll never do that again. You have no idea when they are done because the middle stays soft and jugglie. Edges were really brown, almost burnt. Family ate them anyway because I made them.

Hmmm i'd desire to go with your recipe via fact each lemon curd I even have ever made tastes in simple terms approximately too "eggy" for me... in many cases it in simple terms tastes like a flow between pudding and jello, to me. uncertain relating to the 2nd area of your question...

Usually the edges are light brown when mine are done, I follow my recipe and they are done with the correct time stated in the recipe.
