It is pretty normal actually. But it depends on what the extent is. If you can't get over him in a few weeks, then that would be abnormal. If that happens you may want to consider seeing a therapist. Some people have a difficult time letting go of crushes.
In extreme cases people will allow these crushes to extend for years after they have even had contact with the person.
Don't feel weird, just try to let go, and if you are unable, you should get help from a therapist so that you can focus your interests on someone who will reciprocate.

omg me and you have the same problem i know this guy he is 3 years older than me and i really like him and i asked him out and he said ok so we went to the movies and then after that day we only talked over the phone and now we dont talk at all i will sit there and cry so NO it isnt just you almost everyone goes through it!!!

Rejection hurts, so it's perfectly normal to be weep after that.
It looks like there won't be any chance of a relationship between you to, so you should get over him and carry on with your life.
