Plants will evolve to have pollen tubes that work best in the enviroment provided by that species. Every species of plant will have a different enviroment for the pollen tube to pass through.

i don't understand relating to the sucrose ideas, yet pollen tubes enhance in direction of the stigma of the female factors on the flower (in angiosperms). The pollen grain lands on miraculous of the carpel (the miraculous is the stigma), and the pollen tube grows down in direction of the form. on the backside of the ovary/ovule is the egg; the pollen tube grows right down to the egg. The sperm is in the pollen tube, so in fact, the tube leads the sperm to the egg so fertilization can happen.
