I find my cats always know when I am down or sick and they always try to cheer me up/make me feel better. Anyone else's cats do this?

Definitely.Of my 5 housecats, each with different personalities, one male we nicknamed "Nurse Buddy" because he always finds the exact right place to massage you if something hurts.Cats are all psychic but "Nurse Buddy" is the best!

Absolutely YES. Animals including cats are very intuitive. I don't know if your single but often when a human lives alone with their animals the animal will pick up on signs and signals you're giving whether you know it or not. Like when you are not feeling well the animal knows he will be receiving less attention and it will make the cat feel down. So naturally he'll try and cheer you up so you'll snuggle or pet him. Just a thought.

The cat always knows I need cheering up after my girl has wupped me, cos I'm chained up eating dinner out of the dogs bowl! woof woof! lol

Oh yes. Both of my cats knew when I was sick. They sense that your abnormal activity, (or lack of it.) Mine cheered me up by not waking me up at 5 in the morning!

Yep...I have found that all cats have this particular instinct. Dogs posess this as well, but cats seem to pick up on it more easily. They're amazing animals!

Yes my cat does that all the time. Whenever I'm sad I'll lay on my bed and he'll jump up on my bed and comfort me and start purring and rub against me.
