You don't necessarily have to go jump off a cliff but this is something you should see your doctor about.....

You didn't say how long you have had it..

Someone else pegged it when they said its prob. a swollen lymph node. These are common thru life as your body fights different infections. If its there for more then a week total then you might want to think about seeing a doctor. But first consider if you have any injury (tooth problem>) on that side that might be the REAL cause of the swelling...

If it is still there after 7 days total or if yu start to get swelling on the otherside, tenderness, fever, etc..... go see the md.

You better go to the doctor, i am a nerve wreck so sometimes my nerves get all messy in the neck area and that makes me have this kind of pain or even bump types but you should have someone check that... if it doesnt go away with advil or that type of medication it could be something crucial.

if it hurts it's just a nerve because last time i had a lump on the side of my neck it hurted and it was a nerve and if thats the case it should go away in a few days

Lymph node probably swollen from fighting some infection. You should see a doc.... may be nothing or maybe something to be concerned about such as mononucleosis.

If the bump is acute it could be a swollen lymph node. For this you should see a Doctor.

Thats where they snipped the second head off of your body when you were born?they do that the same time they circumcis too!there are enuff circus people already!
