Something from Psalms maybe?
Is this for a class, the assembly...?
What is the context of the "singles' day?"
OK, look at http://www.james-2.com/
It has a collection of GRAPHICS, most with short scriptures or poems on them. You may find something there that works.

I have found a few sacred poetry sites. I don't know if you are open to non-Christian poets, so I will cite Christian poets only. However, if you click on the links, you can find a wide variety of sacred poetry in many different spiritual traditions.
The Psalms of David page:

Solomon's page:
http://www.sacredpoetry.com/sacredpoets/solomon.htm
St. John of the Cross and William Blake are also listed as sacred poets, but no examples of their work are given at this particular site.
Sacred Chaikhana has a seperate page for Christian poetry, and has it subdivided into Christian, Catholic, and Eastern Orthodox. Here's the link to the main Christian page:
http://www.poetry-chaikhana.com/Traditions/Christian.htm
There are long lists on each page, with links to books and texts.
Hope these links help. If your church is broad minded, also check out the poetry of the Sufi poet Rumi. I think you may find it interesting.

I am single; I am faithful.
Butt me at the fountain and get a facefull.
I am single; I am God's child.
My paperwork is finished and it is filed.
I am single; I love God.
I love it that you find me odd.
I am single; it is the Savior I follow.
I hope you do not find my personality hollow.
I am single; I am devout.
Call me sometime; maybe we can go out.

In My Heart--- I feel your love surround me, as I sit and think of you, in these moments of solitude, I feel your blessings true, What have I done to deserve all the love you bring? I bow in holy reverence to You, my savior and my King. Please stay with me always--I need you every day, To show me the one true path, as you guide me on my way.
