You don't necessarily need to have a degree to do any kind of photography. A fashion photographer will have an extensive portfolio of glamor shots. Clients generally will not ask for educational credentials, but rather want to see examples of the photographers work. Photography is one area in which skill is more important than a piece of paper that says you passed all the tests. So, there really is no definite answer to your question.
