The contents of the Didache are consistent with New Testament theology. Since it is more a manual of practice than of doctrine, it is hard to come up with a reason to doubt its authenticity. It appears to date a little later than the actual lifetimes of the apostles, and it likely was not written by them (anymore than the gospels were written by Jesus). But the apostles would be more concerned with preaching the gospel than the wording of prayers or the rules for handling moochers. The Didache has no controversial content that would make anyone suspect that it wasn't used by the Christian communities of its time.

It was a book of teachings. The only book that Christian theologians give authority to is the Bible.

The teachings of the apostles -those upon which we can be certain- are found only in the New Testament of The Holy Bible, and no where else
